Earth Learning had a stand at the annual Caldera Environment Centre World Environment Day Festival, in Knox Park, Murwillumbah on Sunday July 17th.
Delayed due to yet more rain, and Knox Park likely to be under water for Sunday June 5th, the volunteer organising team mobilised, and with co-ordination from Tweed Shire Council, and the many suppliers and supporters, the festival went off swimmingly on the new date.
Well attended by locals and visitors from as far away as Brisbane and Melbourne, the Earth Learning stand had plenty of interst from folk attracted by the display of Linda Murray's latest donated art work, raffle prizes, and an informative display about Myrtle Rust Disease.
A podium provided a perfect way for Adrienne to manage raffle ticket sales, and a corflute hung at eye level with information sheets about Myrtle Rust Disease, caught many a visitors eye.
Another great festival! Thanks to Ari, Marion and the many other CEC volunteers who work so hard months in advance behind the scenes, and on the day, to make it happen.
